OBJECTIVES

The aim objective of ICAB-2010 is to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, academicians as well as industrial professionals from all over the world to present their research results and development activities in applied Biotechnology. This conference provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration.

CONFERENCE FORMAT

The conference will welcome papers and posters and will include presentations by selected keynote speakers who provide state-of-the art overviews of main topics in focus. The conference will also provide sessions for Biotechnology relevant industrial companies to share and discuss their views in an open discussion with the conference delegates. The industry sessions are attended to encourage academic-industry partnership.

 

LANGUAGE

The official conference language will be English. However, abstracts in Arabic will also be accepted provided an English translation is accompanied.

  •   The topics concerning pharmaceuticals and disease diagnostics will be priority to be accepted.

C. AGRICULTURAL BIOTECHNOLOGY

  •   Crop Biotechnology: Include production improvement, impact on developing countries
  •   Forest Biotechnology and Animal Biotechnology

D. ETHICS, POLICY AND SOCIAL ON BIOTECHNOLOGY

  •  The role of government in using biotechnology as a tool to improve the quality of society life
  •   Ethical issues & Legislations

E. All Technologies, tools and their application such as recombinant DNA technology, cell culture, cloning, research applications, genomic, proteomic, bioinformatics, nanobiotechnology which supported those 4 main topics will be invited.

 

PAPER SUBMISSION

Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts and full papers in English. All submissions will be peer reviewed based on originality, technical quality and presentation.  CONFERENCE PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The conference general program will be composed of Keynote speech, plenary sessions and posters. Programs, submission details and committees will shortly follow in the second announcement which will also, meanwhile, get published in the ACT website. 

TRAVEL and HOUSING

ICAB-2010 has negotiated discount rate of US$ 87/- (single-double room) including breakfast and all taxes with ROSA PARK HOTEL (http://www.rosaparkhotels.com), which is Located at the center of Downtown Khartoum. Rosa Park Hotel is just 7 Km far from Khartoum Civil Airport and 2.5 Km to the conference venue. ICAB-2010 TRANSPORATAION

On a charge of US$ 75/- ICAB-2010 will organize continuous schedule transportation from and to Khartoum Civil Airport plus to and from hotel to conference hall. This charge will also include fee for the planned excursion to Meroe touristic sites (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mero%C3%AB AND http://i-cias.com/e.o/meroe.htm) 200 Km north to Khartoum.
